Overview
Appalachian Rehab Centers is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to join the outpatient team, providing one-on-one, evidence-based care to orthopedic, post-surgical, and neurologic patients in a friendly, patient-focused setting.
Duties
- Evaluate patients by reviewing medical history, referral information, and completing standardized assessments to identify movement dysfunction, pain, and functional limitations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and modalities to restore function and reduce pain.
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and safe return to work, sport, and daily activities.
- Reassess and progress plans of care based on patient response, documenting outcomes and modifying goals as needed.
- Collaborate with referring providers and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and compliance with state, federal, and payer requirements.
- Support clinic growth through excellent customer service, patient retention, and occasional community or marketing events.
Requirements
- Physical Therapy degree with a current West Virginia license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start date.
- Prior outpatient orthopedic or sports therapy experience preferred; strong new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with EMR systems for documentation and patient management preferred.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills, with a commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for therapy sessions including lifting, positioning, and manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
