The Clinic Manager is accountable for the supervision and implementation of methods and procedures involved in operating a doctor’s office or group of doctors’ offices.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the initiation of billing, posting of daily charges and adjustments to outpatient accounts.
- Supervises preparation of daily bank deposits and preparation of daily income register.
- Accounts for clinic cash receipts and deposits with Business Office daily.
- Supervises maintenance of clinic records and office expenditures.
- Coordinates activities within the clinic and various hospital departments.
- Selects, trains, evaluates, and disciplines clinic employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Associate degree plus one (1) year experience in the management of a segment of a health care program.
- Two (2) years experience in a hospital Business Office, one of which should be in a hospital/doctors office and at least one year of supervisory experience.
- Basic knowledge of business and clinic procedures.
- Ability to work and deal effectively and harmoniously with groups, individuals, and physicians.
- Familiarity with physician's office machines and equipment.
