What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Technician position at Appalachian Pediatric Therapy?
Appalachian Pediatric Therapy (APT) provides pediatric applied behavioral services in Tri-Cities, TN. We help children and families improve their well-being and reach their full potential through proven interventions and compassionate support. APT uses an individualized curriculum to increase socially significant appropriate behaviors while decreasing unwanted behaviors.
This is a full-time on-site role for a Behavioral Health Technician located in Johnson City, TN. The Behavioral Health Technician will be responsible for implementing behavior analysis and applied behavior analysis techniques, providing behavioral interventions, and supporting children through individualized care plans. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring progress, communicating with families, and working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis skills
- Effective Communication skills
- Experience in Behavioral Intervention techniques
- Background in Psychology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field is preferred
- Experience with pediatric populations is a plus
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
