Position Summary: Dependable individual for the Custodian position of 15 hours per week. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for individuals supported and staff. The Janitor will uphold our organization's commitment to excellence in service delivery and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks tailored to the unique needs of Appalachian Crossroads, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, paying special attention to high-touch surfaces and ensuring supplies are adequately stocked.
- Empty waste receptacles throughout the facility and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, waiting rooms, and dining areas, to enhance the comfort and well-being of individuals supported.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and submit requests for replenishment as needed to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to the Maintenance Supervisor or designated supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure and hazard-free environment for individuals supported, staff, and visitors.
- Collaborate with other staff members to address facility-related concerns and promote a culture of teamwork and excellence.

- Demonstrate a professional and respectful demeanor in all interactions with clients, staff, and community members
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently while adhering to established guidelines and procedures.
