- Reports To: IT Helpdesk Supervisor
The IT Help Desk Intern provides first-level technical support to end users, assisting with hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role is designed to give hands-on experience in troubleshooting, customer service, and IT operations in a professional workplace setting.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for undergraduate or graduate students who are currently pursuing (or have recently completed) a degree or certification in:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Or a related field
Key Responsibilities:
As an IT Help Desk Intern, you will support the IT team by assisting with day-to-day technology needs across the cooperative.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets, emails, and phone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Provide basic troubleshooting support for:
o Computers (Windows/Mac)
o Printers and peripherals
o Software applications
o Network connectivity issues
- Install, configure, and update software and hardware
- Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access permissions
- Document issues, solutions, and processes in the helpdesk system
- Escalate complex technical issues to the IT Helpdesk Supervisor as needed
- Support IT projects such as system upgrades, equipment deployment, and audits
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assist with asset tracking
- Follow company IT policies and security procedures
