Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced commercial lending professional to support the servicing and administration of our SBA 504 loan portfolio. This position is responsible for ongoing portfolio monitoring, borrower relationship management, and compliance support related to commercial real estate and business lending transactions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial loan servicing, experience reviewing business financial statements, monitoring borrower performance, and ensuring compliance with lending policies and SBA requirements. SBA lending experience, particularly with the SBA 504 program, is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and service an assigned portfolio of SBA 504 and commercial loans
- Review and analyze borrower financial statements, tax returns, and related credit documentation
- Monitor borrower covenant compliance and identify potential credit concerns or servicing issues
- Process routine servicing requests, including:
- Insurance and tax monitoring
- UCC filings
- Annual financial collection and review
- Site Visits
- Ownership changes
- Subordination requests
- Assumptions and modifications
- Assist with portfolio risk management and problem loan identification
- Ensure loan files remain compliant with SBA regulations, internal policies, and servicing requirements
- Maintain accurate servicing records and documentation within loan management systems
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of commercial lending loan servicing experience
- Strong understanding of commercial loan documentation and servicing practices
- Knowledge of commercial credit underwriting and portfolio management principles
- SBA lending experience preferred; SBA 504 experience strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with commercial loan servicing software or banking systems
