What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children's Mobile Crisis Specialist position at Appalachian Community Health Center?
Appalachian Community Health Center has a full-time position available for a Children's Mobile Crisis Response and Stabilization Specialist. This position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a human service field and receives on-the-job training with ongoing opportunities to maintain and enhance skills. Alternative degrees may be considered if you can provide a transcript showing multiple human service-related classes passed throughout your higher education. Applicant must be able to pass a background check as well as a CPS/APS check.
Though this position is specific to children and their families, there are opportunities to work with other consumers as well. This position requires regular office hours as well as participation in the on-call rotation. On-call is an average of a week per month and is worked out on a month-to-month basis among the crisis response staff. It also may provide flex time within the week of coverage as well as additional pay for each shift covered. There is travel involved, as our crisis staff covers Randolph, Upshur, Barbour, and Tucker Counties, but there is a mileage reimbursement.
