What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children's Mobile Crisis Specialist position at Appalachian Community Health Center?
Appalachian Community Health Center has a full-time position available for our expanding Children's Mobile Crisis Response and Stabilization team. This position provides direct services to children, youth and young adults, aged 0-21, experiencing emotional and/or behavioral health crisis. The goal of this position is to provide supports and skills necessary to return youths and their families to routine functioning and maintain children in their homes or current living arrangements, schools and communities, whenever possible. ACHC covers a four-county area including Randolph, Upshur, Barbour and Tucker counties. This position is based in the Randolph office with travel to the other counties required, as needed. This position includes regular office hours as well as on-call rotation. Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a human services field. Prior experience working with children and youth is required and experience providing crisis response and interventions is a plus. Applicant must be able to pass a background check as well as a CPS/APS check.
