INSTALLATION MANAGER:
Appalachian Comfort Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced Installation Manager to lead our HVAC installation department. This leadership role is responsible for managing day-to-day installation operations, working with dispatcher to schedule installs, helping with inventory and warehouse functions, ensuring job profitability, and developing high-performing installation teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, accountable, customer-focused, and experienced in HVAC installation management. This position plays a critical role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
PAY:
- $60,000 - $80,000 Salary
- Performance-Based Bonus Program
BONUS OPPORTUNITY:
Bonus eligible based on department and company profitability
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Operations
Lead and manage the daily operations of the HVAC installation department
Schedule and dispatch installation crews
Monitor installer productivity, efficiency, and job performance
Train, coach, and develop installation team members
Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Serve as the primary resource for installer questions and field support
Project Management:
Layout and schedule all installation projects
Review jobs with installers and verify completion requirements
Ensure equipment and materials are ordered, staged, and available
Monitor job progress, quality, labor hours, and completion timelines
Reduce installation errors, callbacks, and warranty issues
Assist crews in the field when necessary to meet deadlines
Warehouse & Inventory Management:
Helps oversee warehouse operations and inventory control
Manage special orders and material procurement
Coordinate job staging and material delivery schedules
Ensure installation vehicles, tools, and equipment are properly maintained
Maintain clean and organized shop, warehouse, and loading areas
Customer Service & Communication:
Communicate installation schedules and lead times with customers
Return builder and customer calls promptly
Resolve installation issues professionally and efficiently
Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and team members
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong HVAC industry knowledge
Management or leadership experience
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
High level of accountability and professionalism
Ability to establish goals and hold teams accountable
Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years HVAC installation experience
5 years HVAC Foreman experience
5 years Installation Manager experience
Experience managing crews, schedules, inventory, and job costing
Knowledge of residential HVAC replacement and installation operations
