Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of supply chain processes, and proficiency with warehouse management systems. This role is critical in ensuring efficient inventory control, logistics coordination, and process improvement to support our company's growth and operational excellence. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing a team, optimizing workflows, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives aligned with industry best practices.
Duties
- Lead and supervise daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Oversee transportation planning and management, including freight, fleet management, and dispatching to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Manage procurement activities such as purchasing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and overseeing warehouse distribution.
- Utilize ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), AS400, and supply chain analytics tools to monitor performance metrics and optimize processes.
- Implement process improvements using Lean principles and continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with 3PL providers, NVOCCs, and other logistics partners to streamline transportation management systems and supply chain operations.
- Develop budgets, demand planning strategies, production planning schedules, and inventory control procedures to meet organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to forklift operation, freight handling, shipping & receiving protocols, and warehouse distribution procedures.
- Supervise staff including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels using warehouse management systems; oversee procurement and purchasing activities to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Drive operational excellence through data analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Extensive knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400, transportation management systems (TMS), and supply chain analytics tools.
- Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Strong background in inventory management, demand planning, production planning, procurement, freight forwarding (including NVOCC), and logistics coordination.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers (3PL) and overseeing transportation planning including fleet management.
- Supervisory experience with a track record of leading teams effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with safety standards related to warehouse operations including forklift operation and freight handling protocols. Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
