Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The Material Handler will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement and management of materials within our warehouse environment. This position requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork as you handle various materials and equipment.
Duties
- Operate order pickers and forklifts to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage order picking.
- Employ RF scanners for accurate tracking of materials and orders.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organization within the facility.
- Perform order picking tasks efficiently, ensuring timely fulfillment of customer orders.
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards while operating heavy equipment and performing tasks.
- Assist in building pallets and preparing shipments for delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in using order pickers, forklifts, and other heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking.
- Experience with RF scanners for efficient materials handling.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment as needed.
- Ability to follow safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management.
- Strong physical stamina to handle lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods.
