Latino Food Production Lead

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Production Lead to oversee our food processing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and manufacturing, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. As a Production Lead, you will be responsible for managing production teams, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP protocols, and CGMP standards while fostering a safe and efficient work environment.

Duties

• Supervise daily operations in the food processing plant, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Train and mentor production staff on best practices in food safety, sanitation, and equipment operation.
• Monitor compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP guidelines, and CGMP requirements throughout the production process.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes related to packaging and distribution.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including basic math calculations for inventory management.
• Operate forklifts safely to assist in the movement of materials within the facility.

Requirements

• Proven experience in food production or manufacturing within the food industry.
• Strong understanding of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP practices, and food safety protocols.
• Familiarity with sanitation procedures specific to food processing environments.
• Mechanical knowledge related to production equipment is highly desirable.
• Basic math skills for inventory tracking and reporting purposes.
• Certification or experience operating forklifts is preferred.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
