We are looking for a full time & reliable Pharmacy Clerk to join our team! This full-time position will require weekend availability, great communication skills, the ability to adapt to customer needs, and work as part of a team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy, providing exceptional support to pharmacists, and delivering outstanding customer service to patients and healthcare providers alike. Applicants must:
- Consent to background check and/or drug test
- Be able to work between the pharmacy's operating hours of 9AM and 7PM - shift varies and rotates between staff
- Be able to travel to other store locations in Hardin County KY

Job Position Description: A pharmacy clerk's job description includes customer service, inventory management, and clerical and administrative support for a pharmacy, which may involve greeting patients, answering phones, processing prescriptions, and stocking shelves. They help manage prescription refills, as well as handling payments and insurance information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Service - Greet patients and customers, answer phone calls, and assist with basic inquiries about prescriptions and products.
- Prescription Processing - Accept prescriptions and refill requests from customers, completes point-of-sale transactions for payment.
- Cash Handling - Counts down cash register drawers at the end of the day and maintains proper currency in the drawer throughout the day.
- Inventory Management - Stock shelves, check for outdated medications, place orders, and notify pharmacists when stock levels are low.
- Record Keeping - Update patient profiles, enter demographic and billing information, insurance information, and maintain pharmacy records.
- Pharmacy Support - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and assist pharmacists and technicians with other delegated tasks.
- Compliance - Complies with the operating policies and procedures of the Pharmacy. Understands he/she may not perform the task of a Technician, Technician Trainee or Pharmacist, and refers any task outside of his/her scope to the appropriate staff member (Pharmacy technician, Pharmacist, etc.)
Education and Licenses Required:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
