ApotheCARE Pharmacy has an opening for a full-time, reliable Pharmacy Technician for our Elizabethtown location. While Elizabethtown will be the primary location, any applicant must be willing to work at any of our five locations in Hardin County and have reliable transportation.

Requirements
· Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician
· Knowledge of medication & dosage measurement
· Knowledge of pharmacy law & medical terminology
· Excellent communication & customer service skills
· Cash handling experience
· Outstanding organizational skills
· Attention to detail & accuracy
· Must be able to work between the pharmacy's operating hours of 9AM and 7PM - shift varies and rotates between staff
Job Expectations
· Assist customers and answer inquiries with amazing customer service skills
· Answer incoming phone calls from patients and customers
· Process cash, debit, credit and check transactions using a cash register and point-of-sale system
· Receive and process prescriptions while checking the validity
· Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete & accurate
· Resolve issues when they arise such as rejected insurance claims and etc.
· Sterilize surfaces and equipment
· Select the appropriate medicine & measure dosages to fill prescriptions
· Sort, stock, & label medications while monitoring inventory
· Undertake administrative tasks such as record-keeping and etc. as assigned
· Comply with all security measures & quality standards
· Maintains respectful relationships with co-workers and work as a team
Additional Skills – Not Required but a Plus
· Kentucky Pharmacy Technician Certification
· Kentucky Immunization Certification
· Experience with an online prescription system
