Bakersfield is an easy one-hour commute from Simi Valley. This is a private practice offering family and specialty dental care.
This is not a mentorship position. We are seeking a skilled dentist who can work as part of a team and independently. Min. practicing experience is 3 years. Our ideal candidate has 5 years of experience and is confident in their abilities.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients of all ages, with a focus on both preventive and restorative procedures. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Endodontic skills are required and surgical and implant skills are desirable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental extractions.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care measures.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and support staff to provide optimal patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and techniques.
Skills
- Proficient in dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to the field.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques related to dentistry.
- Ability to perform root canal therapy and other advanced dental procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to treatment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation.
