What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman / Superintendent for SCA Project position at Apollon Group LLC?
We are seeking experienced, driven construction professionals to fill Foreman and Superintendent positions on federally-funded construction and renovation projects governed by the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). These roles are critical to delivering quality work on time, in compliance with federal standards, and with an uncompromising commitment to safety.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Crew Leadership
▸ Supervise and direct SCA-covered construction crews on federal job sites
▸ Assign daily work tasks, monitor productivity, and resolve field-level issues
▸ Lead daily toolbox talks, pre-task safety planning, and crew briefings
▸ Mentor journeymen and apprentices; set the standard for quality and professionalism
SCA & Federal Compliance
▸ Ensure all workers are paid in accordance with the applicable SCA Wage Determination
▸ Maintain required DOL postings, timekeeping records, and compliance documentation
▸ Cooperate with Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) and DOL compliance reviews
▸ Flag and escalate any potential SCA compliance issues to management immediately
Safety Enforcement
▸ Enforce OSHA standards, EM385-1-1 (if applicable), and site-specific safety plans
▸ Conduct daily site safety inspections; correct hazards on the spot
▸ Investigate incidents and near-misses; complete required reports promptly
▸ Verify all crew members hold current required certifications and are equipped with proper PPE
Project Execution
▸ Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to meet project schedule milestones
▸ Prepare and submit daily activity reports, production logs, and field documentation
▸ Interface with government CORs, facility managers, and subcontractors professionally
▸ Identify schedule risks, scope changes, or quality concerns early and communicate upward
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
▸ 5 years of experience as a Foreman or Superintendent on federal construction/renovation contracts
▸ Working knowledge of the Service Contract Act (SCA), Wage Determinations, and DOL requirements
▸ OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
▸ Proven ability to manage diverse field crews in a structured government contract environment
▸ Ability to obtain and maintain required government facility access / security credentials
▸ Valid driver's license with clean record
▸ Strong communication skills — written and verbal
