Nurse Practitioner (NP) Requirements
- CA RN and CA NP license required. BLS and ACLS.
- National Certification in NP specialty.
- NPI #, DEA #, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES.
- Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs.
Nurse Practitioner (NP) Responsibilities
- Independently obtain a relevant health and medical history
- Perform a physical examination based on age and history and dictates a progress note if needed with the appropriate physicians
- Perform and/or orders preventive and diagnostic procedures based on the patient’s age and history
- Help the physicians provide screening, consultation, and answers to incoming questions from referring physicians
- Identify health and medical risk factors
