Requirements
- U.S. Citizen
- High School Diploma
- Active Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification
- 5 years of Visual Testing (VT) / NDT experience
- Ability to interpret codes, standards, and technical specifications
- Experience developing and validating inspection procedures
- Strong technical writing and Microsoft Office skills
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Ability to work onsite in York, PA, including lifting up to 40 lbs., climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods
Job Summary Seeking a Weld Quality Technician with an active CWI certification to lead Visual Testing (VT) operations, provide technical oversight to VT Level II inspectors, ensure compliance with quality standards, and support production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, training, certification, and auditing of VT personnel
- Interpret weld quality issues and support engineering dispositions
- Execute and oversee VT inspections in compliance with customer and industry requirements
- Review drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation
- Improve inspection workflows and quality processes
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to resolve quality issues
- Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
- Report quality trends and risks to management
