Lead Oracle Cloud Financials IT Solution Architect – Contract Opportunity
Join a forward-thinking organization committed to modernizing its IT platforms, elevating business processes, and enabling next-generation digital capabilities. We are seeking a Lead Oracle Cloud Financials IT Solution Architect to guide the design, configuration, and optimization of a growing Oracle Cloud Fusion ecosystem supporting key functions including Finance, Legal, and Human Resources. The team is currently undergoing a major transformation, migrating from Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to Oracle Cloud Fusion.
This role calls for a hands-on leader with deep Oracle Cloud Financials expertise—someone who excels in architecting end-to-end solutions, managing complex configurations, and aligning system design with enterprise-wide processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the solution architecture and configuration strategy for Oracle Cloud Financials, ensuring alignment with global business, accounting, and compliance requirements.
- Support the full migration from Oracle EBS to Oracle Cloud Fusion, applying industry best practices for scalable, secure, and efficient financial processes.
- Configure core Oracle Fusion Financials modules—GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, and SLA—with advanced hands-on expertise, including chart of accounts design, ledger and tax setup, intercompany configurations, allocations, and accounting rules.
- Design and implement integrations and data flows between Oracle Cloud Fusion and other enterprise applications.
- Provide functional and technical leadership across project teams, offering guidance throughout design, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Lead workshops with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into system configurations, and validate end-to-end process flows.
- Document all configuration activities including setup workbooks, design documents, test scripts, and change-control documentation.
- Conduct architecture and configuration reviews to ensure performance, scalability, audit readiness, and SOX compliance.
- Monitor Oracle Cloud quarterly releases, assess impact, and adopt relevant new features or configuration updates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues involving financial configurations, integrations, and functional setups.
- Partner with internal and external teams to support global requirements, localizations, tax rules, and multi-entity financial structures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7 years of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials experience, including a minimum of 5 years hands-on configuration across global environments.
- Expertise in Oracle Fusion Financials modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, SLA, plus COA design, ledger configuration, multi-currency setup, and subledger accounting.
- Strong understanding of business processes across Record to Report, Order to Cash, Requisition to Pay, Projects to Result, Plan to Perform, and Acquire to Retire.
- Experience configuring Accounting Hub (AHCS), managing accounting rules, and building mapping logic.
- Participation in two or more full lifecycle Oracle Cloud ERP Financials implementations.
- Skilled with Oracle technologies including Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Web Services, OCI, and DBCS.
- Experience supporting multinational entities, including localization, globalization, and complex tax configuration.
- Ability to collaborate with and knowledge-transfer to consulting partners, enabling a smooth handoff to internal support teams.
- Proven experience working with audit teams and supporting SOX-controlled environments.
- Strong documentation capabilities (FDDs, configuration workbooks, process flows).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into optimized system designs.
- Oracle Cloud Financials certifications are a plus.
This contract position offers the opportunity to lead a high-impact transformation within a global enterprise environment. If you are a hands-on Oracle Cloud expert with strong architectural vision and a passion for financial systems innovation, we encourage you to apply.
