Job Description
The Data Center Commissioning Engineer Intern (CxE-I) provides technical support for planning, scheduling, and executing the full life cycle commissioning of mission-critical data center facilities. They participate in the design review process and the functional testing of complex electrical and mechanical systems.
The CxE-I partners with senior team members, design engineers, construction contractors, equipment vendors, and client staff to test, validate and approve newly installed and operational electrical and mechanical systems in mission-critical data center facilities.
The CxE-I provides commissioning support as part of Apollo's onsite, client-facing teams. Thus, this role may involve approximately 75% or more travel to various client locations.
Education
Relevant coursework towards a bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, architecture, construction, or a related discipline OR
One year of experience with the installation, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical and/or electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and technical support to plan, schedule, coordinate and execute the full life cycle commission of mission-critical data center facilities.
- Assist in the design of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for mission-critical data center facilities.
- Perform on-site inspection, validation, testing and verification for complex electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
- Conduct site observation surveys and prepare field reports on project status and compliance with plans and specifications.
- Develop test plans and procedures.
- Review design documents, drawings, specifications, submittals.
- Produce meeting minutes and project reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare punch list reports and determine corrective measures for on-site issues.
- Achieve certification for NFPA70E, OSHA 30, and other training as required.
- Travel to other project locations as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Skilled at using MS Office tools.

- Ability to analyze and prepare reports and technical documents.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Successful Background Check including pre-employment drug screening
