What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipe Welder position at Apollo Mechanical, Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as plasma cutting, soldering, and pipe threading.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding codes and standards.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures, ductwork, and components.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment necessary for material handling.
- Rig and position materials for welding using cranes or other lifting equipment.
Qualifications:
- Must be Certified in Pipe Welding
-Must be able to pass Bend, Pull and X-ray weld test
- Proficient in various welding techniques including plasma cutting, soldering, and pipe threading.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding codes and standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
-Must be available for weekend call-in work as needed
