Position Overview Apollo is seeking a highly motivated Regional Consultant to join the Southeast team. The Regional Consultant’s primary responsibility is to drive fundraising results across Apollo’s suite of investment solutions, both perpetual and episodic, through the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) channel. The Regional Consultant will be accountable for developing and managing relationships with RIAs across the market—regardless of firm AUM—with a primary focus on those managing $1B in assets. This individual should be detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and team-centric environment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and energetic, possess a strong understanding of both capital and private markets, and have a proven track record of raising and retaining assets within the RIA channel. The Regional Consultant will drive the continual growth of the firm’s market share by developing trusted relationships and supporting all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting, to closing business to asset retention. This includes partnering with the investment organization to gain an in depth understanding of their history, clientele, investment philosophy, and buy / sell discipline to drive comprehensive and consultative investment discussions on investment strategies through the portfolio construction process. Regional Consultant works closely with key distributors, platform specialists, research and due diligence personnel at target firms. Qualifications & Experience Drive fundraising across Apollo’s perpetual and episodic product suite, focused on a specific territory of advisors/firms under their coverage. This role will focus on the Southeast region. Collaborate closely with internal partners across the firm to cultivate a deep understanding of the investment approach and results in order to represent all facets of the firm’s products internally and externally. Position Apollo’s strategies in a highly commercial and impactful manner with financial advisors around the country. Develop and deliver investment, market, and business communications to existing and prospective clients in one-on-one, small group, and large audience presentations. Provides updates on overall financial markets performance, economic trends, and the overall investment outlook as articulated by Apollo. Act as a spokesperson for the investment team with the ability to present a deep understanding of the investment process, market outlook, and strong advocate for the services. Oversee a range of talent both on the internal sales desk and in the field Work closely with other departments, including Marketing, Product Management, CPMs, etc to ensure impactful marketing materials are being created to reach prospects/clients. Penetrates specific target opportunities within the region to capitalize on strength of Apollo’s offerings and to implement sales campaigns. In depth understanding of the RIA marketplace including growth drivers, investment styles, cadence of investment, and the ability to both educate and overcome objections. Excel at specific fund positioning and messaging to correlate with research and marketing campaigns of Apollo’s focus firms. Manage and train team (direct and indirect) to become self-sufficient in positioning and messaging within the context of their typical customer forms of interaction (e.g., one-on-one, short phone call, etc.). Professional Requirements & Personal Characteristics: Strong understanding of sales cycle Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in financial services industry Prior experience working with institutional investors and financial advisors Prior knowledge/work experience in alternative investments required Strong organizational skills and work ethic Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form Must work effectively with other groups in the organization and collaborate as necessary Discretion and ability to handle confidential, sensitive information Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications/functions required including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Working knowledge of CRM, preferably Salesforce Bachelor’s degree required Series 7 and 63 licensed Demonstrates integrity, high-energy and motivation to succeed Pay Range $200K - $225K Apollo Global Management, Inc. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here. Salary : $200,000 - $225,000
