Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with electrical wiring, schematics, and control systems, ensuring safety and compliance with NEC standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including renovation, construction, and system upgrades, utilizing a wide range of hand and power tools in a dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain low voltage electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Manipulate and install conduit pathways to support electrical systems
  • Mount, configure, and deploy devices (e.g., network switches, access points, IP cameras, access controls, etc.)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring layouts.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and circuit testers.
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and control panels to ensure proper operation of automation systems.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with NEC regulations and safety standards.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to complete projects on time and within scope.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a focus on low voltage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC codes, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and control wiring.
  • Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics related to automation systems.
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, pliers, as well as power tools used in electrical installations.
  • Ability to read technical drawing schematics for low voltage systems.
  • Valid Washington- EL06 (Limited Energy System) or Oregon- LEA (Limited Energy Technician) license required depending on jurisdiction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to OSHA standards. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of handling complex electrical systems while maintaining safety standards across diverse project environments.
