What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Assistant (Growth into Management and Sales) position at Apollo Eyewear?
We are looking for someone to work directly with company leadership to assist in daily operations and gradually grow into an operations leadership role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone organized, motivated, and eager to learn the business from the ground up.
This role is intentionally hands-on. The right candidate will gain a full understanding of both office operations and warehouse processes, with the goal of eventually managing key parts of the business independently.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (Initial Focus)
- Acting as a first point of contact: handling phone calls and emails professionally
- Managing schedules, calendars, and appointments
- Assisting with event and trade show planning and logistics
- Preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Managing databases, filing systems, and general office organization
- Liaising with staff, suppliers, and customers
- Supporting shipping operations, including scheduling small parcel and LTL freight pickups
- Assisting with website updates and basic product management
- Helping process customer orders and generate invoices
- Supporting warehouse operations, including packing orders and organizing inventory
- Assisting with product assortments (mixing and preparing displays of eyewear.
Hands-On Training & Development
- Learn how orders are processed from start to finish
- Gain experience scheduling freight and managing logistics
- Understand how the warehouse operates by actively working within it
- Develop product knowledge and assortment planning skills
- Build a strong foundation in both operational and sales workflows
Future Growth Responsibilities (with training & mentorship)
- Participating in customer follow-ups, and account management
- Assisting in trade show preparation and representing the company at events
- Managing customer relationships and helping grow accounts
- Supporting negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and freight carriers
- Taking ownership of order processing, logistics, and daily operations
- Growing into a leadership role overseeing both warehouse and office functions
