SCHOOL COUNSELOR
Start:

Reports to:
- High School Principal
Salary and Benefits:
- $43,500 - $66,000 plus 25 extended days, based on appropriate salary schedule, commensurate with education and experience.

Contract:
- 183-day school year calendar plus 25 extended days (daily wage rate) that could start as early as July 1, 2026.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in school counseling
- valid Ohio School Counselor licensure
- experience with Google Workplace
- ability to work with students of varied ability levels
- ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks
- willingness to be involved in the school improvement process
- experience and sincere interest in working with high school students, parents, and staff
Preferred Qualifications:
- knowledge of career and technical education
- post-secondary planning and application processing knowledge
- scheduling and testing experience
- recruiting and admissions experience
- exceptional planning, organizational, computer and communication skills
- experience in individual, small-group and career counseling
- experience in individual/family/school crisis intervention
- problem-solving and decision-making skills
- work with high school students
- work with the other Apollo counselors, school social worker and associate district counselors
- scheduling, testing, recruiting and admissions
