ABOUT WONDER STUDIO at Apogee Sacramento:

WONDER STUDIO is a play-based, educationally enriching co-op for children ages 3-6 years old, engaging the head, heart, and hands, while fostering healthy relationships and the joy of learning.

APOGEE SACRAMENTO is a non-profit Christ-centered academy equipping young leaders with confidence, character, and competence to engage their callings and joyfully impact the world.

Wonder Studio is inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches.

Key Elements of our WONDER STUDIO program:

Play Based

Children learn best through play. By nurturing children's natural wonder, curiosity, and interests, we inspire a love for learning.

Multi Sensory

Joyful exploration and discovery is the work of our children. We facilitate multi-sensory, experiential learning that connects their hands, head and heart.

Whole Child

Social, emotional and spiritual development as well as practical life skills are woven into our daily rhythms, nurturing the mind, body, soul and spirit of our children.

Family Integrated

We strengthen our program and your home by involving family in the flow of learning. Continuity creates momentum and fosters consistent exchange of great ideas.

LITTLE WONDERS

(Designed for 3-5 year olds, just beginning their journey of learning and discovery).

Rooted in a play-based, Montessori and Reggio inspired approach, this program provides a rich environment where children can engage in hands-on learning, sensory exploration, and creative expression. With small class sizes and a nurturing, experienced Guide, Little Wonders fosters social-emotional growth, independence, and foundational skills through engaging learning materials, movement, art, outdoor play, and practical life activities. Our goal is to cultivate wonder and confidence as children take their first steps in education while still embracing the joy of childhood.

WONDER K

(Designed for children ages 5-6, ready for more structure and focus while still learning through play and exploration).

This program includes all the play-based, hands-on, enriching experiences and whole-child development that the Wonder Studio environment offers, with additional kindergarten level focus on early literacy and math from a Montessori and Reggio inspired approach. Our engaging Wonder K Guide nurtures children's minds, bodies, souls and spirits, joyfully preparing them for the next steps in their educational journey while cultivating their natural love of learning.

ABOUT APOGEE SACRAMENTO

Apogee Sacramento is a non-profit Christ-centered academy equipping young leaders with confidence, character, and competence to engage their callings and joyfully impact the world.

Currently enrolling 3-11 year olds for the Fall 2025 - 2026 program year (will grow to serve PK-12 in the future).

At Apogee Sacramento, our children learn in mixed-aged classrooms called studios with a flexible learning design that serves each child with their own differentiated learning plan as opposed to standardized, separated grade-levels. Inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia, and incorporating strengths from other educational approaches as well, our learning environment facilitates independent, focused and self-paced work as well as collaborative, exploratory learning. In place of letter grades, our learners will earn badges as they demonstrate mastery of core academic skills, character development, and other accomplishments. Throughout the year, our real-world project based learning will culminate in public exhibitions of learning as opposed to test scores and report cards.

In studios serving younger learners, there will be a focus on helping them build their basic literacy, math and other skills necessary to become an independent learner. We currently serve learners ages 5-11 years old with plans to expand to serve learners through age 18.

In all areas of Apogee life, our learners are empowered to take ownership of their education and growth. Our team works collaboratively to guide learners through a whole-child approach. We believe that to truly prepare our children to thrive in life, alongside academic excellence, their education must integrate social & emotional intelligence, character & leadership development, spiritual formation, real-world skills, physical health & nutrition, and guidance toward their unique purpose and contribution to the world.
