- Assist in developing annual budgets, multi‑year financial plans, and departmental spending projections
- Conduct variance analysis and prepare monthly/quarterly budget performance reports
- Support scenario modeling, cost projections, and funding allocation reviews
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities
- Prepare dashboards, summaries, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders
- Maintain financial documentation, audit support materials, and compliance records
- Review expenditures, purchase requests, and cost allocations for accuracy
- Support grant‑funded program tracking and reporting
- Ensure adherence to municipal, state, and federal financial guidelines
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve financial processes and control
- 5 years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or public‑sector finance
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modeling)
- Experience with ERP or financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday, Tyler Munis)
- Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation discipline
- Knowledge of public‑sector budgeting, grants, or fund accounting
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
