This EE4‑level Key Personnel role provides senior‑level technical leadership across shipboard electrical, mechanical, and thermal systems, ensuring engineering rigor, integration discipline, and alignment with Navy technical standards.

The engineer will support system design, integration, testing, documentation, and change package development for Navy platforms and land‑based engineering sites.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering efforts for shipboard electrical and electronics systems, including power distribution, control systems, and HM&E subsystems
- Support design, analysis, and integration of mechanical, electrical, and thermal shipboard systems
- Conduct systems engineering, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and performance assessments
- Develop, review, and validate technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, plans, and procedures
- Support Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Ship Change Documents (SCDs)
- Provide hardware/software installation planning, configuration, and integration support
- Coordinate with Government engineers, platform teams, and technical authorities to ensure compliance with NAVSEA and NSWCPD requirements
- Participate in shipboard, land‑based, and test‑site engineering activities as required
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline from an ABET‑accredited institution
- 10 years of engineering experience, including:
- 7 years in shipboard mechanical, electrical, and thermal system design and engineering
- Shipboard electrical/electronics systems engineering
- HM&E systems experience
- Electrical power distribution and control systems
- Systems engineering, integration, testing, and assessment
- Demonstrated experience developing and reviewing technical documentation, drawings, and engineering packages
- Ability to support hardware/software installation planning and integration activities
- Eligibility for Government facility/network access; Tier 3 investigation required for DON system access
- Experience with NAVSEA, NSWCPD, Navy vessels, or land‑based engineering sites
- Familiarity with:
- AFLOAT networks
- Machinery control systems
- CANES/CATNIP
- Electric plant controls
- AEGIS interfaces
- Active DoD clearance (Secret or higher)
