This critical role is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist. Duties include research, planning, designing, and administering building projects for clients. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and driven individual with a relentless drive to explore, thrive, collaborate with others, and envision the constructability of their designs. Key Duties and Responsibilities

Lead Design & Innovation:

• Drive the design process from concept to completion, ensuring projects meet high-quality standards and achieve desired outcomes.
• Develop innovative and impactful design solutions that elevate the lives of our users/clients.
• Plans the layout of the project and integrates engineering elements into a unified design for client review and approval.
• Represents client in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts in concert with PM.
• Administers construction contracts and conducts periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
• Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors.
  
  
  

Collaboration & Leadership:

• Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, mentoring and guiding junior designers.
• Responsible for documentation of existing conditions of projects as assigned
• Consults with the client to determine functional and spatial requirements of the new structure or renovation and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
• Effectively communicate design rationale and decisions to stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Directs activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents.
• Build strong relationships with clients and partners, understanding their needs and exceeding their expectations.
  
  
  

Transformation & Execution:

• Translate abstract concepts and visions into tangible and impactful realities.
• Drive the implementation of design solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Prepares operating and maintenance manuals, studies, and reports.
• Plan and Direct designers on effective execution of design tasks, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback.
• Continuously evaluate and refine design processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
