Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for all guests. This role is of high importance. A housekeeper is the pillar of a hotel business. NO experience is required, just a willingness to clean and openness to be trained.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public spaces following established standards
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish supplies such as towels and toiletries
- Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, elevators, and other common areas
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently within designated timeframes
- Adhere to hotel policies regarding guest privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with laundry services and other custodial responsibilities as assigned
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or custodial services is desirable but not a requirement
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and polishing is advantageous
- Experience with industrial or commercial cleaning environments is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and safety protocols related to janitorial tasks is a plus
