Job Purpose
The Plant Manager will be overseeing our manufacturing operations, responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong background in plant management, operations management, Supply Chain , Buying and planning experience. This role will lead a team of professionals to achieve operational excellence while fostering a culture of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Develops and sets company strategy, works closely with Prototype & Shortrun’s management team to set operational plans ensuring alignment with the approved strategy.
- Participates in the Monthly business review meetings, presents achievements (numbers) and discusses critical issues. Jointly agree on the action plan for next month and on the support needed from the group.
- Decision Making: Reviews and adjust the process to ensure the resources are allocated for both daily performance and long-term success.
- Delivery Results: Measures and tracks Key Performance Indicators (KPI’S) including operations, safety, delivery, quality, cost, compliance, etc.
- Directing: Manages all operations functions through managers, supervisors, and team leaders.
- Leading: Provides leadership to all Division employees, promoting the mission, values and Fundamentals of the company.
- Development: Coach, teach and mentor employees to facilitate their long-term development, career path alignment and bench strength for future growth opportunities.
- Plans and adjusts labor and other resources as necessary to maintain flexibility in response to customer needs.
- Ensure that schedules for work for all process lines are in accordance with facility capabilities, customer requirements and long-range planning, expediting as required.
- Ensure customer requirements are met, and complaints are resolved in a timely manner, visiting customers as required.
- Partner with Strategic customers to drive organic growth for the division and the organization.
- Works with Operations Support on implementation of Best Practice process.
- Coaches, teaches and mentors employees and teams, creating an environment which provides the retention and advancement of employees.
- Ensure all employees maintain the quality levels required by our customers and Quality System standards.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- At Least 7-10 Years of Strong Leadership experience in a Metal manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a Plant/Operations Management role is mandatory.
- Financial Acumen: Prior Profit and Loss Accountability.
- Strong Presence and proven success motivating a workforce.
- Previous experience creating a vision, setting goals, holding teams accountable and driving results.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Supply Chain Operations, Engineering or other related fields strongly desired.
Compensation and Benefits
Working environment: Office based – Orange County
Compensation: Starting from 115,000 base pay plus bonus.
