Early Interventionist
An Early Interventionist at SRVS Kids and Families is responsible for providing developmental therapy sessions for children birth to 5 years of age. These sessions are provided in the child’s natural environment—typically in the child’s home or daycare.
Direct responsibilities:
Early Interventionists provide families with the following:
- Training and support
- Enhancing child engagement in daily activities
- Identifying and incorporating developmental strategies in daily routines
- Providing functional independence and social interaction
- Collaboration: Discuss issues important to the family and provide all information and resources they will need to reach goals and milestones.
- Assessment: Discuss issues important to the family and provide all information and resources they will need to reach goals and milestones.
- Individualized Planning: Address the IFSP (Individual Family Support Plan) outcomes by building upon the family's strengths and guide them to maximizing learning opportunities for their child within the context of their daily routines.
- Provides individual developmental therapy sessions
- Participates an collaborates in IFSP meetings
- Administrative: Complete all documentation as required by SRVS, Funder, licensing/accreditation entities.
Job Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in one of the following: Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Elementary Education, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology, Nursing, Psychology, Sociology
- A minimum of one-year of experience working with 0-5 year olds
