Job Type: Full‑Time
Shift: 2nd Shift - $2 Shift Premium
Job Summary
General ThermoDynamics is seeking a Painter to support production at our Franklin, WI manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing components to meet quality, safety, and customer standards in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare parts for paint by cleaning, sanding, masking, and inspecting surfaces
- Apply industrial coatings using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers
- Mix paint and coatings according to specifications
- Inspect finished parts for coverage, color, and quality
- Perform touch‑ups and rework as needed
- Maintain paint booth, equipment, and work area
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE use
- Complete required production and quality documentation
- Support production schedules and daily output goals
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing painting preferred (entry‑level candidates may be considered)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and stand for extended periods
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand, bend, twist, and reach throughout the shift
- Able to work around paint fumes, noise, and production equipment
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
