APH Marine Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Business Development Manager to oversee marine construction projects from contract execution through completion while also helping grow the business through client relationships, networking, and sales. 


This role is ideal for a motivated construction professional who understands project management fundamentals and enjoys identifying opportunities, building relationships, and helping win new work. Marine construction experience is preferred, but candidates with strong project management experience in related industries such as shell construction, pools, hardscape, site development, seawalls, docks, landscape construction, or specialty trades are encouraged to apply. 


Position Overview 

The Project Manager / Business Development Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects while maintaining profitability, schedule compliance, and customer satisfaction. This individual will also assist with estimating, client development, networking, and securing new projects. 


The successful candidate will serve as a key link between ownership, field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably. 


Key Responsibilities 


Project Management 

  • Manage multiple construction projects from contract award through closeout.  
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and production goals.  
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.  
  • Monitor project costs and track budget performance throughout the project lifecycle.  
  • Review contracts, scopes of work, change orders, and project specifications.  
  • Maintain project documentation including permits, RFIs, submittals, inspections, daily reports, and closeout packages.  
  • Conduct regular site visits and coordinate with field supervisors to ensure production goals are met.  
  • Identify and proactively resolve project issues, delays, and budget concerns.  
  • Prepare and present project status updates to ownership and clients.  
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company procedures.  

Business Development & Sales 

  • Build and maintain relationships with property managers, HOAs, engineers, developers, general contractors, municipalities, and waterfront property owners.  
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities.  
  • Assist with lead generation, networking events, and industry association involvement.  
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings to develop project opportunities.  
  • Support estimating efforts and proposal development.  
  • Help convert leads into signed contracts.  
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospective projects and clients.  
  • Collaborate with ownership on sales strategy and market growth initiatives.  


Qualifications 


Required 

  • 3 years of project management experience in construction.  
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and cost control.  
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and project documentation.  
  • Ability to read construction plans, specifications, and contracts.  
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and construction management software.  
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.  

Preferred 

  • Marine construction experience (seawalls, docks, marinas, pile driving, boat lifts, shoreline stabilization, etc.).  
  • Experience in related industries such as:  
  • Shell construction  
  • Pool construction  
  • Hardscape and outdoor living projects  
  • Site development  
  • Specialty concrete  
  • Civil construction  
  • Existing industry relationships in South Florida.  
  • Experience with estimating and business development.  
  • Knowledge of permitting and waterfront construction regulations.  


Compensation Structure: 

  • $90k-$110k salary based on experience.  
  • Sales commission on sold work.  
  • Vehicle allowance or company vehicle (if applicable).
