JOB SUMMARY:
A rapidly expanding company supplying highly efficient turbo blowers to waste treatment plants and other industries is seeking an Upgrade and Service configuration Specialist.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Preparing technical proposals and generating accurate scope of supply for equipment modifications and upgrades;
· Drafting technical modifications and upgrades with the assistance of the engineering team and controlling the process for the review and approval of submittals;
· Coordinating with the engineering team the update of service technical documentation;
· Reviewing upgrade project plans and specifications and provide support to projects and the customer as required;
· Identifying and clarifying technical issues in the customer requirements;
· Assisting technical service team with the drafting and issuing of service bulletins;
· Assisting the customers to optimize designs and assist the aftermarket team to influence them to utilize our product;
· Producing technical & cost analysis and design layouts to promote our product fit with our customers’ needs;
· Assisting customers in writing the specifications to ensure that all technical requirements are clearly understood and can be met with our product offering;
· Attending site and producing field site surveys to confirm blower configuration as required;
· Managing APG-Neuros VPN network in collaboration with technical service;
· Managing and maintaining asset configurations of equipment in service;
· Reviewing and updating as maintained BOMs;
· Assisting Aftermarket project coordinator with quoting and upgrade planning;
· Participating in upgrade project start up meetings and post mortems;
· Incorporating past projects lessons learned into upgrade products;
· Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
1. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office software and PDM Solidworks.
2. Technical knowledge with 2-year Associate degree in electrical or industrial technology or a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with electrical and industrial controls or relevant work experience.
3. Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
4. PLC & VFD experience is preferred.
5. The candidate must have strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities, ability to use inspection tools and strong oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
6. Able to travel the US and internationally for unit upgrade and other related field service activities.
7. Will have or be able to apply for a passport.
8. 2 years of experience with wastewater systems equipment.
9. Ability to present and communicate effectively with groups of current or potential clients, engineers and other interested parties.
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is normally performed in a manufacturing assembly / field installation environment with typical shop / field hazards. Prescribed personal protective equipment will be required to include eye protection, safety shoes and hearing protection in designated areas.

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
