Now Hiring: Retail Associate – Pottery Planet Santa Cruz
Primary Location: Santa Cruz, CA
May include shifts at Los Gatos or San Ramon stores
Full-Time
$20 per hour
Pottery Planet is a locally owned business with four unique retail locations in Santa Cruz, Los Gatos, San Ramon, and Moss Landing. We're known for our massive selection of pottery, fountains, and garden décor—and we're looking for someone who can help bring that experience to life for every customer.
We're hiring a Retail Associate who can help maintain our store’s cleanliness and organization while also offering friendly, helpful customer service and sales support.
This is a physical, hands-on job—you’ll be moving pottery, loading customer vehicles, and helping keep the store beautiful—but it also involves engaging with customers to answer questions, offer suggestions, and help them find what they need.
What You’ll Do:
- Greet customers with a friendly and helpful attitude
- Answer basic product questions and assist in finding items
- Load pottery and fountains into customer vehicles
- Keep store displays clean, organized, and stocked
- Stack and move heavy pottery and décor
- Assist with light deliveries or fountain installations as needed
- Work at other store locations occasionally (Los Gatos or San Ramon)
You Should Have:
- A positive attitude and willingness to interact with customers
- Basic comfort with in-store selling and learning about our products (no industy sales experience needed—just a helpful spirit!)
- The ability to lift and move heavy items safely
- A reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Weekend availability and flexibility to occasionally work at other locations
