Description
Purpose:
The Paint Line Staging Technician is responsible for the daily tasks of safely hanging and securely fastening materials or products to hangers, hooks, or a conveyor system. This role ensures proper positioning and alignment to facilitate the timely completion of painted parts while maintaining a safe workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Safely hang parts onto paint hooks
- Maintain run efficiencies of 90% without direct supervision
- Maintain set up efficiencies of 90% without direct supervision
- Maintain the equipment and work area
- Ensure maximum utilization of equipment in the area and adherence to the schedule
- Conduct visual checks to identify defects, damage, or improper handling before and after the hanging process
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to continuously stand and walk for a full shift
- Ability to read and adjust equipment as needed
- Ability to operate a powered pallet jack
- Ability to work in a moderately loud and hot environment at times
- Must possess agility and coordination when handling materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Communication proficiency, able to speak, read and understand English language
Requirements:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent
1 year working experience in painting, warehouse, inspection, manufacturing, production, or similar area
