Location: Austin, TX (On-site 4 days per week)
Start Date: Mid-January
Type: Contract
Payrate: $50/hr on C2C
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in data replication and solid DBA fundamentals across any major database technology. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Fivetran, along with a proven ability to manage, monitor, and optimize data replication workflows in real-world production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support database environments across any major database platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot data replication processes.
- Implement and optimize Fivetran pipelines for data ingestion and movement.
- Monitor data integrity, performance, and reliability across replication workflows.
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and application teams to ensure smooth data operations.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and resolve replication or pipeline failures.
- Document configurations, workflows, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong DBA fundamentals in any database technology.
- Hands-on data replication experience (must-have).
- Strong Fivetran experience (must-have).
- Experience monitoring and tuning database performance.
- Ability to troubleshoot data movement issues end-to-end.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and ability to work on-site with cross-functional teams.
Work Requirements:
- Must be able to work on-site in Austin, TX, 4 days per week.
- Availability for interviews this week and next week.
- Mid-January start date.
