- Experience Required- 7 years of experience in Performance Engineering/ Performance Tuning.
Job Overview
The Performance Engineering team is looking for an experienced professional to identify and resolve end-to-end performance bottlenecks across distributed systems, Spring Boot services, middleware components, and hybrid cloud environments (Private Cloud AWS).
This role goes beyond traditional performance testing by analyzing container orchestration, networking, and system interactions under load. The ideal candidate will define realistic latency budgets, establish Service Level Objectives (SLOs), map end-to-end workflows, and ensure optimal system performance across high-scale, high-transaction environments such as financial services, payment platforms, or large enterprise SaaS applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Define Service Level Objectives (SLOs), performance budgets, and latency/throughput targets across distributed services.
- Design and implement distributed tracing strategies using tools such as Dynatrace and AWS X-Ray.
- Perform deep-dive performance analysis using heap dumps, thread dumps, flame graphs, GC logs, network traces, and storage I/O profiling.
- Review application and system architectures to identify performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
- Lead root cause analysis for production and pre-production performance issues.
- Develop capacity models and performance baselines for cloud-based applications.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, JVM tuning, thread/heap management, concurrency debugging, and GC optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, PCF, and container resource management.
- Experience with orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, PCF, and Amazon ECS.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including service-to-service communication, TLS, DNS, routing, load balancers (F5, NGINX, ALB/NLB), and service mesh performance.
- Experience with storage performance tuning, IOPS optimization, and distributed file systems.
- Expertise in caching and messaging technologies such as Redis, Hazelcast, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and NATS.
- Strong database performance tuning experience, including connection pooling, indexing, slow query analysis, and replication.
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, regional latency, and cross-cloud traffic optimization.
Preferred Background
- Experience working on high-scale, multi-region, high-transaction platforms such as financial systems, payment processing, or enterprise SaaS applications.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and performance optimization skills across distributed cloud environments.
Note- This is a hybrid role requiring 3–4 days onsite per week.
