Job Overview

In this position, you will perform quality control testing for product manufacturing and applications testing for product development and work with senior chemists to formulate new products. Duties
Perform the following tests:
- pH
- Different methods of solids
- Viscosity
- Filter Tests
- Particle size measurement
- Others depending on formula or customer needs
Assist development team with compounding formulations, preparing samples, applications of product testing
- Compounding
- Pad and Coating applications
- Burn tests (NFPA, FAR, CPAI, BS, etc.)
- Spray rating, oil and alcohol repellency
- Document findings accurately
- Communicate results to your supervisor and production in a timely manner
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with wet chemistry testing and formulating.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform math calculations accurately under pressure.
- Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel required. Datacor is a plus!
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other regulatory/legal compliance standards applicable to manufacturing environments preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards in production through meticulous inspection techniques.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday 8am-4:30 pm with 30 minutes for lunch.
