Apex Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine in Sherman, TX is seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. On the job training will be provided for the EMT to become a Hyperbaric Tech. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients. This role requires competent decision-making, effective communication, and a strong commitment to patient care.

Duties

• Setting up and maintaining the hyperbaric chamber, ensuring it is clean, functional, and safe.
• Monitoring patients during treatment, assessing their well-being, and recognizing signs of distress.
• Controlling and maintaining the pressure within the chamber according to the prescribed therapy.
• Ensuring the proper functioning of all hyperbaric equipment, including the chamber and supporting systems.
• Following all safety protocols and guidelines for hyperbaric facilities and equipment.
• Accurately recording patient treatment details, including any adverse reactions.
• Ensuring adequate supplies and maintaining records of expendable materials.
• Communicating with medical staff and patients about treatment plans and procedures.
• Participating in quality improvement activities and chart audits.
• Remove and apply wound dressings when not performing Hyperbaric Treatments.
• Assist the Physician or Physician Assistant with Procedures as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
