JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of the Seasonal Mechanical Assembler is to perform mechanical assembly and installation of components on a wide variety of equipment designed and built by Apex Water and Process on a seasonal basis, from about May 2025 to the end of August 2025. This equipment includes water treatment equipment, specialty manufacturing systems and a variety of other specialty equipment. This position is open to entry level professionals with little to no background in assembly and presents a great opportunity for an individual to get hands-on experience with our custom water and process equipment!
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, and Production Prints
Install mechanical components (i.e. pumps, valves, sensors, etc.) per design
Install mechanical piping (may consist of PVC, CPVC, PE, PVDF, PFA, etc.) to and from various components on a skid or within a process tool per design
Assist with factory acceptance testing of equipment
Clean and maintain work areas
Work hours necessary to support Company demand
Assist others as required
Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong mechanical aptitude
Exceptional work ethic, “can-do” attitude and team player
Able to lift and move 50 pounds of material unassisted
Flexible and adaptable by nature; able to work well under pressure and within changing environments
Willing and able to wear personal protective equipment necessary for job duties performed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous exposure to manufacturing environments or assembly processes
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
