Responsibilities
- Preparing work plans after fully assessing issues including electrical and hydraulic systems
- Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
- Utilizing vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure codes to initiate repairs.
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment in air systems, brakes, and hydraulics
- Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance worksheets associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Reviews and completes repairs identified by shop manager and driver.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area.
- Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts
- Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts
- Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown
- Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
- Completing oil changes, services, and brake checks
- Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
- Maintain positive attitude while taking initiative in daily tasks

- Ability to push, pull, or lift lbs. regularly
Requirements
- Valid CDL driver's license (Class B minimum) is preferred but not required.
- Able to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Must be able to work some weekends, and early mornings or evenings as needed
- Positive, can do attitude
- Salary is based on experience.

Experience:
- Commercial driving: 1 year (Preferred)
- Automotive diagnostics: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- CDL B (Preferred)
