Apex Vascular is a private, outpatient-based vascular surgery practice in Lenoir City, TN, seeking a Medical Assistant for a full time position.

Looking to hire a Medical Assistant immediately. We are seeking a savvy, strong-minded individual with excellent people skills. Must be dependable, team-oriented, and able to adjust in a fast-paced environment.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Covering the front desk and greeting patients as needed.
- Proactively fulfills patient care responsibilities as requested or needed by physician or other clinicians in the physician office.
- Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned that may include setting up exam room, walking patients to ultrasounds, etc.
- Contribute to providing an efficient flow of patients through the clinic.
- Obtaining patient vital signs/blood draws/ etc.
- Charting procedures.
- Updating and entering medical history/information to patient charts.
- Effectively coordinates activities in support of departmental operations.
- Assist with patient prep/pre-op
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with patients, patient families and physicians in a tactful and professional manner.
- Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects to maintain workflow as a medical assistant.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to perform basic computer skills.
- Ability to act quickly in emergency situations.
Resident Rights Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information to assure resident rights are protected, including the right of refusal.
Requirements
- Certification for Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must have at least one (1) year of experience working in a medical facility as a Medical Assistant or similar health care experience.
