The Blueprint (Role Profile)
The Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating equipment in the UJ Mill area, including machines such as Bridgeport, finish mill, hone, and tube drill to support precision manufacturing operations. This role requires the ability to follow technical instructions, perform quality inspections using gauges and measurement tools, and maintain accurate production documentation while ensuring a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates problem-solving skills, adherence to safety standards, and the physical capability to perform hands-on manufacturing tasks in a dynamic production setting.

The Build (Responsibilities)
- Set up and operate equipment in the UJ Mill area like Bridgeport, finish mill, hone, tube drill.
- Completely required quality and production documentation
- Use required inspection methods and gauges to ensure quality
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition
- Follow plant rules and safety glasses
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Technical school certification, or 1 year equivalent experience.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to continually stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms (overhead reaching), push or pull and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
