Job Summary
Client is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to join the Corporate Technology team. This role will actively design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications and data integration solutions that underpin critical business processes. The engineer will write high-quality, scalable code, build and maintain APIs and data pipelines, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize system performance. Working closely with senior engineers and project managers, the role requires strong technical execution, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver reliable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Application development and testing, building data integrations between systems, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality technical delivery
- Collaborate closely with business partners and analysts to understand data requirements and analyze and design the necessary data pipeline and database design.
- Streamline and automate manual data processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Design and develop Python-based APIs and implement robust data loading and processing logic
- Experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and query optimization performance tuning.
- Experience with Git/GitHub.
- Experience with DevOps tools like Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and support optimization efforts.
- Assist in database migrations, upgrades, and patching.
- Follow best practices and standards for coding and documentation
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience programming in SQL queries, stored procedures, query optimization performance tuning (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL or Oracle)
- 4 years of experience in Python
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience in creating and maintaining Conceptual, Logical, and Physical data models
- Good scripting knowledge (Python)
- Understanding data modeling and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Basic knowledge building and deploying web services and REST api
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the finance industry.
- Hands on experience with Power BI or similar reporting tool
- Knowledge of AI technologies and RPA tools to drive automation and process optimization
