Job Description:
We’re looking for a Windows Systems Administrator – Team Lead to support and engineer mission-critical systems within a classified DoD environment. This role combines hands-on technical work with team leadership, providing advanced (Tier 2/3) support while guiding daily operations across enterprise Windows infrastructure.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining secure, high-availability systems and driving improvements across server, network, and virtualization environments.

Job Description:
We’re looking for a Windows Systems Administrator – Team Lead to support and engineer mission-critical systems within a classified DoD environment. This role combines hands-on technical work with team leadership, providing advanced (Tier 2/3) support while guiding daily operations across enterprise Windows infrastructure.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining secure, high-availability systems and driving improvements across server, network, and virtualization environments.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and coordinate a team of system administrators, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across Windows-based infrastructure
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and Tier 3 support for internal applications and custom-built systems
- Manage and maintain Windows server environments in alignment with government versioning and compliance requirements
- Oversee installation, configuration, and support of COTS, GOTS, and open-source software
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and enhancements across server and client environments
- Evaluate system configurations, identify gaps, and recommend performance and security improvements
- Support network operations, including monitoring and firewall configuration
- Administer core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VDI environments
- Manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
- Support storage and data protection solutions, including SAN and enterprise backup/recovery
- Leverage PowerShell for automation and operational efficiency
- Ensure adherence to change management and configuration control processes within a classified environment
- On-site role supporting a secure, classified DoD program
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- DoD 8140/8570 IAT-II certification
- 10 years of experience in systems administration or engineering within enterprise Windows environments
- Prior experience supporting systems in classified DoD environments
- Familiarity with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience
