Role Overview
We are seeking a Systems Architect to formulate and define system scope and requirements for Salesforce Data Cloud solutions. This role involves creating and modifying data ingestion, unification, and activation procedures to solve complex business problems, considering platform limitations, data volume, and processing capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end Data Cloud architecture, including data streams, data model mappings (DMOs/DLOs), identity resolution rulesets, calculated insights, and activation targets.
- Ensure Data Cloud implementations are compatible with and compliant with IT architecture standards, Salesforce platform governance, and integration requirements.
- Provide detailed specifications to developers for data ingestion pipelines, segmentation logic, activation flows, and real-time engagement configurations.
- Offer technical expertise in evaluating new Salesforce platform features, managed packages, and system modifications impacting the Data Cloud ecosystem.
- Ensure the operating environment remains compliant with Salesforce data residency, consent management, and security standards.
- Evaluate and resolve issues related to data unification workflows, segment publishing, and cross-cloud data sharing.
- Provide daily supervision and direction to staff.
Education: A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud implementation, including data stream configuration, data model mapping, identity resolution, segmentation, and activation.
- Experience with the core Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Audience Builder) and their integration with Data Cloud.
- Ability to apply Salesforce data modeling concepts, ingestion patterns (batch vs. streaming), and activation strategies.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Flow, Apex, and SOQL as they relate to Data Cloud extensions and automation.
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring on Salesforce platform engineering and data architecture design.
- Experience driving technical planning for Salesforce platform portfolios, including authoring solution designs and managing AppExchange vendor evaluations.
- Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant certification or Salesforce Marketing Cloud credentials.
- Experience with external data connectors such as S3, MuleSoft, or direct API.
