Job Description - Solutions Architect III
Job Summary
The Solutions Architect III supports the development and validation of high-level solution architectures for the Global Impact (Sustainability & Communications) portfolio. This role designs project-level and small portfolio-level architectures while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, economic goals, and current industry best practices. The architect collaborates with global and regional teams, business units, and subject matter experts to deliver integrated, scalable solutions that meet business objectives.

The architect collaborates with global and regional teams, business units, and subject matter experts to deliver integrated, scalable solutions that meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
- Develop and maintain solution architecture at a project and small-portfolio level.
- Translate business requirements into effective solution architecture designs across multiple domains.
- Apply both technical and functional design expertise to recommend optimal solutions.
Architecture Governance & Review
- Review architecture solutions for active projects, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture standards.
- Evaluate solution alternatives and their financial and technical impacts.
- Support solution selection efforts and architectural review processes.
Collaboration & Consultation
- Collaborate with global and regional architects, project teams, and business stakeholders.
- Provide consultation on:
- Business process design
- Business intelligence design
- Software development architecture
- Application frameworks and interfaces
Continuous Improvement
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Assist in defining and improving solution architecture processes, plans, and strategies.
Issue Resolution
- Independently manage issues with minimal supervision.
- Escalate only the most complex challenges to appropriate leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of related architecture or solution design experience.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements.
- Experience designing integrated solutions involving process, data, and technology.
- Experience collaborating with regional and global teams to define requirements and deliver business-aligned solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting or developing business strategy.
- Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of all major components of enterprise architecture.
