Title: Senior Lead, Consumer Health Solutions

Base: $170k-180k 20% bonus (remote CT ok)

Apex is seeking a Consumer Health Solutions Lead/Architect to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Consumer Partnerships Lead to identify and evaluate new growth opportunities enabled by consumer-facing digital experiences.
  • Translate business objectives into clear solution architectures that balance feasibility, scalability, and consumer value.
  • Assess emerging technologies and industry trends to inform long-term consumer experience strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a bridge between business teams, IT, product, and external partners to ensure alignment on solution requirements and implementation paths.
  • Facilitate technical and business discussions to ensure all stakeholders understand capabilities, constraints, and trade-offs.
  • Support partnership discussions by articulating how our technology stack can integrate with or enable partner solutions.

Business Architecture & Feasibility

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the underlying systems, data flows, APIs, and architectural patterns that power our consumer experiences.
  • Evaluate technical feasibility of new concepts and provide recommendations on solution options.
  • Create high-level flow diagrams, capability maps, and integration models to guide decision-making.

Execution Support

  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure solutions are implemented according to architectural intent.
  • Provide ongoing guidance during development cycles to resolve design questions and maintain architectural integrity.
  • Support testing, validation, and rollout planning for new consumer-facing capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business management, marketing or software engineering.
  • 8 or more years of experience in solution architecture, business architecture, or technical product management within a consumer-facing business

  • Experience in consumer partnerships, digital ecosystems, or platform-based business models.
  • Familiarity with customer experience design, personalization, or omnichannel engagement.
  • Background in healthcare or other regulated industries with strong consumer digital touchpoints
  • Strong understanding of modern digital architectures (APIs, cloud platforms, microservices, data integration, identity management, etc.).
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with business, IT, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

About The Role

The Senior Lead pf Consumer Health Solutions supports the evolution of the Client's consumer-facing ecosystem by connecting strategy, digital technology, and partnership development. Reporting to the Vice President, Consumer Health Solutions, this role influences how consumer experiences are designed, scaled, and delivered across the organization. The position does not include people management responsibilities and plays a key role in enabling faster delivery of consumer experiences and scalable partnership integrations.

This role is remote for candidates residing in California (CA) or New York (NY). In North Carolina (NC), the position follows a hybrid schedule. Candidates must reside in CA, NY, or NC, as these locations are central to our consumer strategic partnerships. Applicants who live within 35 miles of our Burlington, NC or Durham, NC offices will follow a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of three in‑office days per week at their assigned location (Burlington or Durham). This structure supports strong collaboration while maintaining work‑life flexibility.
