SE&V Project Engineer
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado (Onsite) OR Huntsville, AL
Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.
Role Overview
This position will focus on early-phase activities of the Systems-Engineering Development Lifecycle, including concept, requirements, and design. The role involves leading the development of new system concepts by transforming stakeholder needs into reviewable technical approaches and spearheading scheduling and deadline tracking.
Key Responsibilities
Education & Experience: An advanced degree with 3 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, or equivalent. Must demonstrate wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in the field.
Technical Skills: Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools is required.
Preferred Qualifications
This position is 100% onsite and work will be performed in a restricted area. The role is part of an Agile Scrum team. Some travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new system concepts by transforming stakeholder needs into technical approaches.
- Perform requirements elicitation and decomposition using artifacts such as use cases, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams.
- Lead the development of physical and logical system models using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools.
- Lead system interface development, converting system and interface requirements into message-level details for Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Design Descriptions (IDDs).
- Support formal and informal engineering technical reviews.
- Create, review, and critique interface documents, system requirements, verification documentation, and architectural documentation.
- Interface with key stakeholders, including customer and working-level counterparts.
- Participate in Agile development planning and execution, including iteration planning and status reporting.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an integrated team environment developing solutions covering all aspects of the Systems-Engineering Development Lifecycle.
- Experience interacting with customers for the elicitation of needs and requirements.
- Experience with one or more elements of the Missile Defense System.
- Experience with elements involved in Space Defense, Space Domain Awareness, or other Space Missions.
- Experience with complex Command and Control Systems, particularly those with heavy networking capabilities.
- Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo.
- Ability to communicate technical content clearly and concisely (written and verbal).
- PMP Certification is desired.
